A few years ago, I moved back to my home town in southwest PA and have never been happier to be back in the Burgh. I have a BS from Penn State University in Business Management, and have over 20 years of experience in B2B Sales. My expertise It’s not just about selling a service or product to a client, the key to success is knowing exactly what my customer is looking for and developing a mutually beneficial business partnership. My name is Jonathan Green but most people call me, Jon. I am a recent graduate of Villanova University where I was in the Environmental Department. While there, I was a starting guard and center on the football team. Along with that, I participated in multiple on campus activities such as: Special Olympics, Andy Talley Bone Marrow Drive, and Athletes for Athletes. I was born and raised in the Coal Region of Pennsylvania and I now reside in Center City, Philadelphia. My biggest fear is not reaching my goals. Luckily, so far, I’m blessed to say that I have attained the goals I have set for myself at a young age. Now that I am with BlueRock Energy, I have new goals. Providing top quality service to my clients and company allowing for growth in every aspect of the word. Athletics and my upbringing has taught me to roll with the punches and cherish the tough times because those are the teaching moments, where growth occurs. I have been in the sales industry since I was 16 years old. My first sales job was in retail - selling everything from Fashion to Ice Cream. I am a north country native. I graduated from Peru High School where I later returned to open my first business, coach three high school sports, and start my family. I am blessed to be married to my best friend for over 20 years and have two amazing kids. Sports have likewise been a lifelong passion of mine, from being a spectator to actually being a player. I will begin by introducing myself, my name is Ron Florentino. I am happily married and have been blessed with two wonderful kids, two boys I might add. My legacy lives on. “Free will or Pre-destination? I often question these two things in life. It’s a thought that I always think about; whether or not an incident in one’s life is already pre-determined before it even happens. I say this because I’ve always thought that my employment stint with Slomin’s Inc. was a prelude for something much better. Then one day I met Lou Guasco, who led me to Wendy DeFazio at BlueRock Energy, and the rest was history. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to Wendy, Jerry and Phil for providing me with the opportunity to be a part of an organization that I have grown to greatly appreciate. I am an extremely passionate individual in regards to my faith, health, honesty, family, business, and success. My passion is greatly reflected in my work ethic. At age 18, I started a lucrative online sales business. Soon after, I started an independent energy broker business, as a result of previously being employed by an energy supplier that had dishonorable business practices. I am blessed and proud to say I am an employee of BlueRock Energy. After entering the energy retail industry nearly a decade ago, I quickly realized that there are honest supply companies, who do show customers actual savings, and then there are suppliers that don’t, and should not be allowed to do business. I built my house in Chili, NY 17+ years ago with my wife Sheryl. 10 years ago we were blessed with our daughter Madison. I have played soccer around Monroe County and New York State for 40+ years and have recently moved on to becoming an avid golfer, as it is easier on the legs. I work with BlueRock Energy because we have a similar business philosophy. I believe in ‘keep it as local as you can, as long as you can’. I spend money in my clients businesses. If my family is going to breakfast over the weekend, we go to one of my clients. If we are going out to dinner, we go to one of my clients. If I am spending money on anything, the first thing my daughter says is, “which one of your clients are we going to”? With a 10 year old I am very concerned with my money and how it is spent. This translates to my business philosophy as well. Anytime I can help a client cut costs or better monitor their spending it is a successful day.
I was born and raised in Pennsylvania, spending a majority of my adult life working in the Southern Tier. Through my many years working in sales, I have discovered myself to be a ‘people person.’ I thrive on meeting and talking with new people and helping them out. Accepting my Energy Advisor position with BlueRock Energy took little to no thought. It is a wonderful feeling, knowing that I now work for a company that appreciates my employment with them and also wants to help as many people as possible with energy costs in their homes and small to mid-size businesses. Outside of my work, I spend a majority of my time with my golden retriever, as I am a huge animal lover.
